About the NMIMS School of Performing Arts
NMIMS School of Performing Arts (SoPA), situated in Mumbai, is a home to talented music students from all over India and celebrated artists and renowned international and national faculty with years of industry experience in their field. The programs curriculum is curated in collaboration with leading music schools and industry professionals.
SoPA was inaugurated on 13th August 2018 with 13 students and since then, the number of students is growing continuously and has reached 51 within 3 years. The rich diverse cultural background of our students makes SoPA a hot spot of talent. These musically skilled students are enrolled after a rigorous and standardised audition process.
The school is offering two programs currently,
a. B.A. (Music – Western Contemporary Music) - Offering majors in Piano, Drums, Vocals and Guitar.
b. B.A. (Music – Indian Music) – Offering majors in Vocals & Sitar
Both the program involves an integrated study of both theoretical & practical knowledge, which enables the student to master their performance area and also enables them to be conceptually strong. The programs prepare the students to perform & present their skills on stage and exposes them as an individual as well as part of a team.

Internship Program:
Under the 40 hrs internship program the 3rd year students are working with composers in Bollywood as well as with production houses for web series.
