As a versatile individual & Young Sitar Artist, Dr. Vikas has had a number of professional roles, Such as Performing Artist, Music Lecturer, Preceptor and Research fellow in Music. His playing style is a uniform and balanced blend of both the Gayaki and Tantrakari. His style is an ethereal combination of the delicate and the forceful. His music is spiritual in tone as well as authentic. Academically, He has received Doctorate Degree in Music from University of Kota in 2013. He has also received Three Gold Medals in Master in Arts (Music with String Instrument Sitar) from Indira kala Sangit Vishwa Vidyalaya, Chattisgarh. He also excelled by qualifying NET & SET examinations and receiving “Tribankam Dani Joshi Award” for the meritorious performance in Sangeet Visharad from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Maha Vidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai.He learned Sitar under the guidance of Madam Sudha Agarwal and then continued his rigorous training with Pandit Ram Krishna Bose, Shri Devendra Mishra and Pandit Nayan Ghosh in Mumbai.
